Membership is open to all medical secretaries
in NHS trust and private hospitals, general and private practice,
research departments, commercial organisations or agency work,
medical schools, pharmaceutical companies and other related commercial
organisations. Full membership is open to all medical secretaries.
Affiliate membership is available to those who are not medical
secretaries but who wish to support the aims of the Society e.g.
doctors, administrators.
Membership is not restricted to medical secretaries in Britain.
The BSMS encourages medical secretaries in all countries
to become members, although the benefits of membership may be
reduced. One aim of the BSMS web site is to allow medical secretaries
to set up local and international discussions through the chat
room and within the Journal
of Medical Secretaries. |

when 10 or more named members join en bloc. Libraries and
non-members may subscribe at the annual price of £85.
