Helpline

BSMS members have free access to a dedicated legal helpline - a 24-hour service providing legal advice on any subject whether commercial, professional or private which is personal to the member. The legal help line is provided through a professional organisation set up to provide such services. All members are sent details on the numbers to call and the services provided.

All calls are dealt with by legally qualified staff.

Operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To ensure an accurate record, your calls are tape recorded for future reference and no time limit is imposed on any one problem.

Advice will be confirmed in writing on request.

Members can, by arrangement, send in by mail or fax copies of documents for comment.

Advice will cover self representation at Small Claims Courts and Tribunals.

The helpline is available to you and any member of your family normally residing with you.

Matters of Scottish law are dealt with automatically.
