British Society of Medical Secretaries
Medical Secretary of the Year Awards

The awards recognise medical secretaries who have shown initiative and innovation and teams of medical secretaries who can demonstrate that through vision, teamwork and enthusiasm they have been able to contribute to improving the service offered to patients, their consultant, manager, team, practice or Trust.

Unfortunately we are unable to run the award scheme for Medical Seretary of the Year 2008 as we have been unable to secure sponsorship. However, we are expecting to continue with the awards in 2009.


Award Presentations: The 2007 awards were presented at the BSMS Annual Dinner in Manchester on Friday 5th October 2007.

Fellowship Awards
This year 29 Fellowship Certificates were awarded to those achieving five years membership. Certificates were presented at conference to Julie Ball, Sharon Rhodes and Deirdre Young.
